Welcome to Our Friendly Mountain Church
 

Our mission as the Church of the Transfiguration is to acknowledge Jesus Christ as revealed to us in the Scriptures through worship, prayer, and study, and to proclaim the Good News joyfully in a ministry of servanthood.

In the Diocese of Western North Carolina, The Church of the Transfiguration is located in the beautiful Hickory Nut Gorge on Highway 64 in Bat Cave. The Parish serves a diverse congregation made up of year round residents, part-time residents, and visitors to the area.  Nearby Lake Lure, Chimney Rock Park, and several camp grounds offer recreational activities for all.  If you are visiting the area or settling in our peaceful mountains, join us for worship and fellowship.  Dress is casual.

Service Schedule Sundays: Holy Eucharist 8:00 a.m. Adult Sunday School 9:00 a.m. Holy Eucharist 10:00 a.m. For special service times, please see the church newsletter. Wednesdays: Holy Eucharist and Healing 10:00 a.m. Bible Study 11:00 a.m. following the Healing Service
