Our
mission as the Church of the Transfiguration is to acknowledge Jesus
Christ as revealed to us in the Scriptures through worship, prayer,
and study, and to proclaim the Good News joyfully in a ministry of servanthood.

In the Diocese of Western North Carolina, The Church of the
Transfiguration is located in the beautiful Hickory Nut Gorge on
Highway 64 in Bat Cave. The Parish serves a diverse congregation made
up of year round residents, part-time residents, and visitors to the
area. Nearby Lake Lure, Chimney Rock Park, and several camp
grounds offer recreational activities for all. If you are
visiting the area or settling in our peaceful mountains, join us for
worship and fellowship. Dress is casual. |

Weekly Bible Study
Wednesdays at 11 after the 10:00 Eucharist and Healing Service
Friendship Dinners:
Every Sunday at 4:30 p.m. the church celebrates a Friendship
Dinner. The community is
invited. You do not have to attend the church to participate in
this community gathering.
The dinner is free. No dress code. No reservations. No church
service.
There will be no dinner on Mother's Day 5/12,
Memorial Day weekend 5/26 or Father's Day 6/16. Come to our
church breakfasts..
Join us for fellowship and a hearty breakfast of grits, sausage,
bacon, eggs, pancakes, biscuits and gravy . . . YUM!
